“I grew up going to church every Sunday as it was a rule in my parents house. One morning in my early 20s I found myself sitting in church with a bad hangover, still in the clothes from the night before. When the offering plate came around I reached for my pocket and realized I had the last $22 to my name. A ten dollar bill, 2 five dollar bills, and 2 singles. For whatever reason, I felt compelled to put it all in the plate.
Later that evening I was cleaning out my closet, getting ready to donate old stuff. As I shoved a pair of pants into the bag I check the pockets and find $22. A ten dollar bill, 2 five dollar bills, and 2 singles.”
Ghosts?
“I was leaving my bathroom and as soon as I shut the door about midway I stupidly looked outside my bathroom for one second then suddenly just heard a loud noise and saw one of my eyebrow razers shoot across the room onto the opposite side of the bathroom. Creepier thing is all my eyebrow razers were in a completely shut cupboard and there was no chance in that time the cupboard could of opened or shut by itself ( especially because as I looked back it was closed ) and there’s no way at the speed it flew across it didn’t just mysteriously fall. Still very confused on how it could of came flying out of a close cupboard in a bathroom with no windows.”
How do I know you?
“I was working at a coffee shop in my early 20s. We hired a new guy. When we met, we both looked at each other and said ‘I know you from somewhere.’ We knew personal details about each other. I knew his family’s history and where he moved from. He knew where I grew up and talked about my brother and sister like he knew them.
However, we never, in two years of working together, could figure out how we knew each other. We grew up in different countries. We went to the same community college for like a year but we literally went though our entire schedule and never had a class together. We never figured it out and to this day I don’t understand how I knew this information about him and why he knew so much about me.”
Twin Turtles
“When I was younger, I had a pet turtle. When I woke up one morning and went to my kitchen, I saw my turtle scuttling across the floor. My turtle was still in his aquarium when I scooped him up and took a closer look. We don’t know where it came from, and my parents didn’t purchase me another turtle.”

“One of the creepiest ‘glitches in the matrix’ moments I’ve experienced involved running into my doppelganger at a coffee shop. It was like looking into a mirror that gained sentience and decided to grab a latte. We both stood there in disbelief, examining each other’s uncanny similarities, from our choice of clothing to our penchant for the same coffee order. It was as if the universe copy-pasted a random chunk of my life.
We awkwardly laughed it off, exchanged a few words about our shared confusion, and then parted ways. But that moment left me questioning the nature of reality, wondering if there was a glitch in the cosmic code or if the universe was just having a bit of fun with its digital cut-and-paste tool.”
Lasers
“When I was a kid playing in my room with my friend, a glowing perfectly still red dot appeared on the wall near the door. The window was covered, no laser pointers in the room, and no family members around to be pranking us. We spent a couple minutes trying to figure out where it was coming from, and then it disappeared never to return. To this day we never figured out what it was or where it could have come from. Too bad neither of us thought to put our hand over it to follow it back to its source.”
Predicting the Future
“A few of us were working in a library that had a small theatre in it. During a break we were told there was a room down in the basement of the building with a snooker table in it, so we all went for a game. None of us knew this room existed. A few minutes later 2 guys are playing and the rest are standing around, some watching, some reading the newspaper etc, when a guy taking a shot stops suddenly stands up and says he has this really weird feeling that we’ve all been here in this room before- which we obviously hadn’t.
He says that a guy walks through the door and pretends to be angry like ‘what the f*** yous doing in here? Ha! only kidding boys’, before sitting down and reading a paper. He even describes that it happened just as he was taking a shot. Well sure enough about 2 minutes later he’s in the middle of taking a shot in exactly the same position he was earlier when one of the library staff walk through the door and does exactly what he said would happen. We all freaked out.”
How did that get there?
“I was driving on a small 2 lane highway that feeds to a large freeway. I passed a car with a very distinct sticker on the back window and matching license plate, pointed it out to my wife and kept driving. About 40 minutes later, I’m on the freeway, driving fast as I tend to do, and I passed the exact same vehicle. We did not stop for gas or anything but I passed the same car twice. This has happened to me twice in the last 2 years.”
Name that Tune
“Years ago. Radio station was running a ‘guess the next song we are going to play after the news competition ‘. Zero clues. It wasn’t just the top 40 or even any song that year. It could be any song ever and I knew what it was, I remember telling my dad it will be “Hey Jude” by The Beatles and it was.
Seeing his face twenty minutes later in total disbelief when it came on is something I’ll never forget and I’ve never been able to predict anything since. Though I have had deja vu a few times. That feeling I’ve done all this before and know what’s coming.”
